Stephens 18ct Gold Plated Nib (Made in England)

Sorting through my fountain pen bits and bobs box I came across a sorry looking pen from the 1950s. I did a finger test on the nib and it was surprisingly flexible. Considering the state of the pens body (cracked on the top, could not take apart even with heat) I took it off and popped it in a temporary cheap Jinhao body.

It turned out to be an enjoyable nib which makes an expressive line without applying pressure.

My homework would show that this was made by the ink company Stephens in circa 1950. There is an interesting looking museum in London about the company and its founders.
